Wind Speed Transducer

TVV is composed of a rotating body connected to three conical shaped elements (cups), and it measures the wind speed exploiting the wind resistance to their circular movement. The rotating system is equipped with a six poles cylindrical magnet. A Hall effect sensor detects the rotational movement that generates in the meantime an impulse at the passage of each pole. The dimensions of the cups and the lightness of its materials have been thoroughly picked to achieve a very low mechanical inertia and, consequently, to ensure a high sensitivity of the measurement. The structure of TVV is very robust, the sensing element has a reliable durability and a proper resistance even at high wind speeds. Furthermore, its simple and compact design facilitates the installation and simplifies the on-site maintenance activities. The sensor is supplied with power and signal cable (12m), and it is available upon request on heated version, powered at 24V (alternating or direct current).

Sonic Wind Speed and Direction Transducer

WINSON is an ultrasonic anemometer for the measurement of wind speed and wind direction. The sensor exploits the principle for which the acoustic waves, along their path, are influenced by the movements of the air they pass through. The sensing element is composed of 3 transducers with dual function of transmitters and receivers. WINSON is much more performant than the traditional wind sensors. Indeed it simultaneously carries out 6 measurements on three different sonic trajectories generating a very precise measuring model, especially at higher ranges. Usual wind transducers instead can develop only 2 acoustic trajectories, and then they can give as output only 4 measurements at the same time. The sensor is equipped with a programmable heating system for detections even in harsh and tough weather conditions, as well as an electronic compass for applications on mobile stations. The sensor is supplied with power and signal cable (12m).

Wind Direction Transducer

TDV has been thoroughly designed to ensure high performance in wind direction monitoring activities. The sensing element consists of a balanced vane connected to a magnet, whose position is detected by a Hall effect sensor. The whole system allows to investigate with very reliable precision the orientation of the wind by detecting the movement of the wind vane from its original position. The wind vane and the lightness of its materials have been accurately chosen in order to obtain a very low mechanical inertia and consequently achieve a high sensitivity. The robust structure of the sensor gives an adequate resistance even at high wind speeds. Furthermore, its simple and compact design facilitates the installation and simplifies the on-site maintenance activities. The sensor is supplied with power and signal cable (12m), and it is available upon request on heated version, powered at 24V (alternating or direct current).
